Services / Vehicle Tracking

Every vehicle type, one operating picture

From sedans to heavy trucks and buses, ETIT fits, connects and supports the tracking hardware that lets you see where a vehicle is, how it is driven and whether it is being used as intended.

Why this matters

Mixed fleets create mixed blind spots

  1. Different vehicles, different wiring

A device that works in a sedan can be wrong for a refrigerated truck or a minibus with auxiliary power draws.

  2. Route deviation goes unnoticed

Without geofencing and alerts, unauthorised detours are only discovered after the fact, if at all.

  3. No visibility on driving style

Harsh braking, speeding and idling contribute to cost and risk but are invisible without behaviour data.

  4. Fuel use hard to reconcile

Without route and mileage data, fuel consumption claims are difficult to verify.

  5. Servicing schedules missed

Mileage-based maintenance intervals slip when no one is tracking actual usage.

What this covers

Tracking specific to how vehicles are used

Vehicle Tracking is the vehicle-specific application of ETIT's tracking practice: devices, installation and platform configuration tuned to how cars, vans, trucks and buses are actually operated, rather than a generic one-size hardware fit.

The service accounts for the practical differences between vehicle classes — ignition sensing on passenger cars, auxiliary power monitoring on refrigerated trucks, passenger-count integration on buses — and configures the platform's alerts and reports to match.

Data produced through this service — location history, geofence events, speed and idling — feeds directly into the Fleet Management service where an organisation wants that information turned into ongoing operational reporting and driver management.

Service scope

  • Vehicle-class-specific device selection and mounting
  • Ignition, ODB and auxiliary sensor integration where applicable
  • Geofencing and route-deviation alerts
  • Driver behaviour scoring (harsh braking, speeding, idling)
  • Fuel and mileage correlation reporting
  • Maintenance-interval tracking based on actual usage

Capabilities

What is delivered

  • 01

    Class-specific installation

Fitting standards adjusted for cars, vans, trucks and buses.

  • 02

    Geofencing and alerts

Zones and routes configured with real-time deviation notifications.

  • 03

    Driver behaviour scoring

Metrics on speeding, harsh events and idling per driver or vehicle.

  • 04

    Fuel and mileage reporting

Consumption data correlated against distance travelled.

  • 05

    Maintenance triggers

Alerts generated from actual mileage rather than fixed calendar intervals.

  • 06

    Route history and playback

Historical journey data for review, dispute resolution and audit.

What you receive

Deliverables

  • Installed and commissioned devices

Confirmed reporting for every vehicle in scope.

  • Configured geofences and alerts

Zones and thresholds set to your operational boundaries.

  • Driver behaviour dashboard

Scoring visible per driver and per vehicle.

  • Fuel and mileage report template

A recurring report format for consumption review.

How it runs

Delivery steps

  1. 01

    Assess

Vehicle classes, power systems and existing sensors are surveyed.

  2. 02

    Install

Devices are fitted and integrated with ignition and available sensors.

  3. 03

    Configure

Geofences, alerts and behaviour thresholds are set for your operation.

  4. 04

    Support

Ongoing maintenance and fault response keep units reporting.

What changes

Outcomes

  • 01Verified vehicle usage

Location and route data replace assumptions about how vehicles are used.

  • 02Behaviour visibility

Driving patterns become measurable rather than anecdotal.

  • 03Reconciled fuel figures

Consumption claims can be checked against actual mileage.

  • 04Timely maintenance

Servicing is triggered by real usage, not a fixed calendar.
