Why this service exists
Tracking projects usually fail between the parts, not within them
Buying a device is easy. Making it report reliably, for years, across a fleet with mixed vehicle types and remote depots, is the hard part.
Devices chosen without a survey
Hardware ordered from a catalogue before anyone checked vehicle wiring, power stability or the physical space available for installation.
Installations that do not hold up
Units fitted quickly by untrained technicians come loose, lose power or get disconnected within months.
No plan for coverage gaps
Underground depots, remote roads and dense urban areas each behave differently, and few deployments account for this before rollout.

What this service covers

Tracking Services is the operational service that sits underneath ETIT's vehicle, asset and personal tracking work. It covers everything between choosing a device and having usable, trustworthy data appear on a screen: procurement of appropriate hardware, physical installation, SIM and connectivity provisioning, platform account setup and the maintenance work that keeps units reporting over years of use.
The service is deliberately hardware-agnostic in approach even though ETIT supplies its own device range. Fleets frequently arrive with a mix of vehicle ages, power systems and prior installations, and the service is built to survey, document and work with that reality rather than insist on a uniform starting point.
Where this differs from a solution such as fleet management is scope: Tracking Services is the engineering and operational layer — the devices, the installers, the SIMs, the maintenance schedule — rather than the wider programme of policy, reporting cadence and organisational change that a fleet solution wraps around it.
