Platform access
Getting your team into the systems ETIT provides
Fleet management, mobile and reporting tools are only useful if the right people can log in with the right level of access. This page covers how accounts are set up, how roles work and how to recover access if something goes wrong.

Getting an account
Accounts are set up as part of onboarding
Platform accounts are not self-service sign-ups. They are created as part of a fleet or installation programme, once devices and vehicles have been registered against the customer's account.
During onboarding, ETIT works with a nominated administrator on the customer side to confirm which vehicles, sites or assets should be visible, and which staff need which level of access. That administrator can then request additional accounts for colleagues without needing a fresh onboarding process each time.
For an existing account holder who has changed role or organisation, the fastest route to an updated account is through your organisation's nominated administrator, who can request the change directly with ETIT.
Roles
Access is scoped to what a role needs to see
Role-based access exists so that a driver, a supervisor and a finance user see only what is relevant to them.
- 01
Administrator
Manages users, vehicle and asset assignments, and account-level settings for the organisation.
- 02
Fleet manager / supervisor
Sees live tracking, reporting and alerts across the vehicles or sites they are responsible for.
- 03
Driver or field user
Uses the mobile application for the vehicle or task assigned to them, without visibility of the wider fleet.
- 04
Reporting / finance user
Access limited to reports, exports and utilisation data, without operational controls such as alert configuration.
Access recovery
If you are locked out or have lost access
Recovery routes depend on whether the issue is a forgotten credential or a change in who should have access.
For a forgotten password, use the platform's password reset option, which sends a reset link to the email address or phone number already on file. If that email or number is no longer accessible, your organisation's administrator or the hotline can trigger a reset once identity has been verified.
For a departed employee or a role change, the organisation's administrator should notify ETIT so the account can be updated or removed. This keeps access aligned with who is actually working with your fleet at any given time.
Security expectations
What ETIT expects from account holders
Platform security depends on both the system and the people using it.
Credentials should not be shared between staff, even where several people perform a similar role; separate accounts keep an accurate record of who did what. Passwords should be changed if there is any reason to think they may have been exposed, and administrators should review the list of active accounts periodically and remove access for anyone who no longer needs it.
ETIT will never ask for a full password over the phone or by email. Requests that claim to be from ETIT and ask for a password directly should be treated as suspicious and reported through the contact page.
